| Vladimir Naidenov
(born in 1929 in Sofia): Since his early years he lives and
works as master in the city of Plovdiv. He is the first major master
from the third generation of our masters. His father is the famous
master Dimiter Naidenov. Vladimir Naidenov is also professional
Instrument restorer.
Georgi
Georgiev (born in 1933 in Kazanlak): He is a son of the
master Dimitar Georgiev, who turns the city of Kazanlak to a master
center.
Filip Dobrichkov (borin in
1933): He holds his business in Plovdiv in own workshop. He was
awarded with "laureate" title in 1969 and in
1983 he is a winner in the international contest "Sofia '83".
Hristo
Hristodorov (born in 1934 in Sofia): From his early
childhood he was under the proffessional influence of his father and
adopts his art. His first own made violin was in 1950.
Nikola
Hristodorov (brother of Hristo Hristodorov - born in 1941 in
Sofia): His education was taken in the technical school of
internal architecture, where he studied carving in master Maranov's
class.
Angel
Hristodorov (born in 1964 in Sofia): He is a son of Hristo
Hristodorov and continuer of the family master tradition. He has
exchanged experience with famous masters from Germany and the Czech
Republic.
Mincho
Katrandjiev (born in 1936 in Kazanlak): His parentage is
from farmers family. On 16 he goes to work in the Cremona factory.
His first master was Geno Ilov, and later Filcho Filchev.
Apostol
Kaloferov (born in 1944 in Vratza): One of the best
Bulgarian masters and outstanding representative of the Bulgarian
masters school. He is a leader of the fourth generation Bulgarian
stringed instruments masters. He is holder of many prestigious
international awards. The main part of his production is selling
abroad. His name is world-wide well known.

Dimitar
Danchev (born in 1950 in Sliven): He is a famous actively
practicing Bulgarian violinist and notable master-restorer of past
and present string instruments.
Petur
Tzvetanov (born in 1958 in Sofia): He was a student of his
uncle - the famous Bulgarian master Naiden Genchev, who has
introduced him to his profession through a period of five years.
Plamen
Harizanov (born in 1950 in Rousse): After he graduates from
the musical school in the city, and later from the national musical
academy in Sofia, he first realize him self as violin player in the
Philharmonic orchestra of Rousse. His major interest is in making
professional bows for stringed instruments, in which area he is the
best in Bulgaria.
Tzvetan
Panaiotov (born in 1966 in Sofia): He graduates from the
school of applied arts, majoring in carving. His interest in the
luthery starts in 1989, and two years he works in the factory of
Cremona (Kazanlak).
Edrew
Edrev (born in 1958 in the village of Vetren, Stara Zagora):
He graduates from the technical school of carving in the city of
Tryavna. He specializes in luthery. He graduates later from the
master school in Cremona, Italy. One of his important awards he gets
in 1983 for well modeled viola. In Czechoslovakia in 1983 he wins a
bronze medal and two additional prizes from the musical
university of Tokyo, also for viola manufacturing. In 1993 he gets
award for viola - in Budapest, Hungary and also special prize. 1995
in Baveno, Italy wins the special award of Baveno. His stringed
instruments are currently exported to Japan.

Todor Penev
(born in 1966 in Kazanlak): In 1985 he graduates from the
art school for applied arts in the city of Tryavna, since that time
he is professional master. His own made string instruments are
either inspired by models of Stradivarius or his own. He is also
restorer of old instruments. He owns his own workshop in
Kazanlak.

Jivko
Starchev (born in 1969, click on the name to view some of his
products): Works as luthier since 1996, he was a student of
Edrio Edrev, makes violins and violas(new and old style looking).
Owns diploma for master luthier from the department of culture in
Bulgaria. He is a member of "Regional Luthier Association" in
Kazanlak, and has been participating in major national
exhibitions.

luthier since 1987. He originates and restores violins, violas and
